I’m Jamie McCarthy, the proud owner of Mutual Help.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

My business inspiration came from a personal tragedy when I lost my dad, James Martin McCarthy, due to horrific circumstances. Experiencing the pain of losing a loved one to something beyond their control made me want to do everything within my power to prevent others from going through the same.

So in May 2008, after my father passed away, I introduced Mutual Help to the world to counsel and rehabilitate individuals struggling to recover from events such as mental health disorders or anything else that has interrupted their lives.

While this business has offered me closure in so many ways, it has also enabled me to help several people. By successfully offering them the guidance and support that they require to live a fulfilling life, I have managed to acquire many referrals over the years.

I absolutely love working with people to transform their difficulties and struggles into a beautiful life through a simple touch of kindness or firm faith in their potential. Similarly, I enjoy reminding people that they are worth so much more than they believe and interacting with them, so they see their potential and are encouraged to wake up every day.

As a mental health and rehabilitation counsellor, my goal is to greet every person with love, kindness, compassion, and openness. At the same time, I aim to make them feel loved and wanted, like all human beings. I encourage them to feel like they belong and take charge of their emotions.

My pride and joy in this career come from watching my clients go through the process of changing their beliefs and building fulfilling lives by being kinder to themselves. I genuinely believe that my attitude and belief that all humans have value, and can learn how to be kind to themselves and teach others how to do the same has helped me achieve the success that I have today.

When I am not rehabilitating people or assisting them with their mental health, I enjoy spending time with my family and learning new skills. It helps me stay focused on my goals and do what makes me happy.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our expertise as mental health and rehabilitation counsellors in Hamilton, ON, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit our website at www.mutualhelphamilton.com.

Jamie
